What to expect
- We usually reply within ten working days.
- There is no need to attach large files or images of manuscripts; a link to the source is enough.
- The name and address of the party responsible for this site are given on the Legal page.
What we do not answer
The Initiative's work is philological and documentary. For that reason:
- We do not answer questions of religious law and issue no fatwas. Please direct such questions to those qualified to answer them.
- We make no judgements on the authenticity of hadith. Our work shows where a text appears in a named edition, not whether it is authentic. If we do not find a text, that means only that it was not found in the stated edition at the stated place.
- We do not rank schools of law.
- We take no position on political questions of the day and do not comment on relations between states.
